Over the years, the NEC has undergone a series of transformations, with each one marking a new chapter in its history. In 1983, it was rebranded as the NEC Arena, which later became the LG Arena in 2008, after signing a lucrative naming-rights sponsorship deal with the global electronics company LG. This exciting development ushered in a new era for the arena, which has been a popular destination for live events since it first opened its doors in 1980.
The NEC has now become the UK’s number one exhibition venue. Every year, it welcomes around 2.4 million visitors and over 39,000 exhibiting companies to more than 125 exhibitions. Book 2–3 months ahead for a modular stand, 3–6 months for a custom stand and 6–12 months for a double-deck. That leaves time for design rounds, venue approvals and production without rush costs. We can move faster when we have to: we built over 600sqm for COP26 on just over three weeks’ notice, but it's not something to be done lightly!
Yes. We prepare and submit the venue paperwork, including stand plans, risk assessments and method statements and order rigging and electrics through the organiser. We do this at venues like ExCeL London, the NEC and Olympia London, so your team doesn’t have to.
Yes. We can store your stand at our facilities between shows and reconfigure it for different stand sizes, which cuts the cost of every event after the first. Modular stands are designed for this from the start.
